MSP® Training (Managing Successful Programmes), is a methodology accommodating a specific set of process and principles which apply to managing a programme. These MSP® courses are of a flexible format which means that they can be applied to a variety of scenarios and adapted to person and project centred circumstances within the MSP® certification.
Programming is composed of a variety of different MSP® Training projects which all uniquely contribute to the structure of successful programme management. MSP® course framework is centred on three core concepts which are:
MSP® Principles - These have been extracted from successes and failures of previous programme management projects. Identifying common occurrences within a managing programme increases efficiency in future projects.
MSP® Government - The factors that come under this title are a clear insight on different organisations approach to the management of programming. These factors determine the suitable structures, teams and controls to ensure the greatest chance for success.
MSP® Transformational Flow - A transformational flow allows the organisation to plan an effective route through the programming lifecycle.

The MSP® Foundation and Practitioner 5 day training course is in a classroom based atmosphere and delivered by a highly skilled, experienced and qualified trainer. The first three days of the training involves getting delegates familiar with the course materials and a basic understanding of the principals involved. After the three days of the course, candidates will undertake a Foundation Exam. Following the successful completion of the Foundation Exam, there will be one day of preparation for the MSP® Practitioner Exam with the final day involving the completion of the Exam. MSP® Foundation Training has a three-day duration and is followed by MSP® Practitioner Training for the final two days. Below is an analysis of the subjects covered in the 5-day course:
The Foundation aspect of the MSP® Foundation and Practitioner Training course is to ensure that the candidate has a sufficient and useful amount of knowledge in order to move on to the next level of MSP® Training which is MSP® practitioner. MSP® Foundation Training focuses on the principles and terminology as well as the formats of MSP® training. These skills will allow the delegates to practically carry out the management of a project. The aspect of being able to interact with different teams including the transformation team, business change team and through to the delivery team. Becoming an active contributor to the workplace will maximise the proficiency of managing an MSP® Training programme.
A benefit of doing these two MSP® Training courses an s a combined course is that you can gather two qualifications in the space of 5 days. This means that there will be more of a chance to apply your qualification at a faster rate, potentially maximising your chance of being involved in the next programming project.
Combining these two qualifications together is also a more cost and time efficient way to gain qualifications. A practitioner MSP® Training course cannot be completed without an MSP® Foundation qualification so completing these at the same time means that you will have more of a clearer and fresher understanding of what is required of you and therefore completing both exams with potentially more confidence.
