Course Introduction

The course provides the essential knowledge and skills required to design and implement a physical and logical Windows Server 2012 R2 enterprise infrastructure within an organisational environment. The course enables the delegates to plan and deploy a server deployment strategy, design and implement forest and domain infrastructure and also provide enterprise networking solutions such as DirectAccess, DHCP and VPN. The course equips the delegates with the knowledge needed to perform application integration, name resolution and maintenance of network services.

The course provides entry level skills required to plan, design and deploy an infrastructure featuring Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012R2. By the completion of the course, the delegates will be able to:

What are prerequisites for attending this course?

Delegates must have a good knowledge of Windows client and server operating system and also possess working experience of AD DS and networking in a business environment before attending the course. Delegates are also expected to have the following technical knowledge:

  • Understanding of both scripts and batch files
  • Understanding of deployment, packaging and imaging tools
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and networking concepts
  • Understanding of Windows Server 2012 R2 and Active Directory Domain Services
  • Knowledge of security concepts such as authentication and authorisation
  • Knowledge equivalent to Windows 2012 R2 MCSA
