Bromley is situated in the south-east of Charing Cross, England. The city is also a district headquarter in capital city London. History
The history of Bromley is associated with See of Rochester. The Ethelbert, Kent’s King, gave land to form the Manor of Bromley in AD 862. Until 1845, this area was owned and looked after by the Bishops of Rochester. In the same year, when Coles Child a wealthy, philanthropist a local merchant bought Bromley Palace. In the end, he became the real owner of Lord of the manor. Bromley acknowledged as a part of the extended Metropolitan Police Territory in 1840. The parish part transformed as Bromley Urban District. In 1933, it developed as London Passenger Transport Area.
